due to expiring music license rights, alan wake will be completely removed from digital and physical retail as of may 15th. the alan wake franchise will go on a 90% sale around 10 am pst on may 13th, so that is the very last chance to buy the game!
just to clarify a bit, the base game will become unavailable for purchase as of may 15th, but the “alan wake’s american nightmare” dlc is not affected by the expiring license rights and will thus remain purchasable for the time being.
additionally, the devs are looking into how to solve the licensing issues and the game might become conventionally available again in the future. for now however, it is strongly recommended that you buy the game during this sale weekend in case the licensing issues cannot be solved.
