I had gotten some questions asked about Bakus scars in THIS post graduation pic I drew~ 

Basically he goes up against a villain with a “muscle binding” quirk who binds victims hands behind their head (especially volatile quirks like bakus) but unbeknownst to the villain he actually paid attention to Deku  during the sports festival and breaks the hold by blowing his fuckin head up. Thats how he not only gets the big scar on the back of his head/face but ALSO how he got his shitty new haircut~
